Description: From over four decades of storage in its home domicile of Connecticut comes this very attractive specimen of the Savage 67 series Pump Shotguns. This variant is the Revelation Model 300. Manufacturer was Savage Arms of neighboring Westfield, MA. Exclusive distributor nationwide was Western Auto Supply Company, and this shotgun doubtless sold in one of the local stores near Trumbull. Construction is entirely steel metal parts with the exception of the glossy black anodized alloy trigger housing assembly. Buttstock and forend are glossy finished beavertail type birch, well enough stained to resemble walnut. Type is pump or slide action shotgun with single side operating bar. Barrel is 2 3/4 inch chambered, 30 inch, with 13 post, .375 serrated top Ventilated Rib that carries dual white alloy bead sights. Barrel labels read Revelation Model 300 / -- patent applied for – on the left side, and Proof tested 12 gauge / -- 2 3/4 inch chamber – on the right. Choke is unmarked, but from its .690 muzzle diameter it is very much a full choke. Length of pull is 13 5/8 inches from the trigger face to the concave in the period correct red Pachmayr recoil pad, a well executed if not original installation. Weight empty is 7 pounds 7 ounces, with center of gravity at the front of the receiver. Surface detractions on this 67 / 300 are only moderate, and come from its years of storage, not from its being used. Buttstock and forend have some edge scouring and finish weakness, but we estimate that 80 percent of the wood finish is intact. Similarly, the metal shows occasional finish freckling, but with strong bluing. Note the jeweled finish of the bolt surface, and the factory Pointer field scene engraving on the receivers. We rate it as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This is a nice old shotgun. It was never serialized; it only bears the letters 3 N on the left side of the barrel, and an encircled P on the right side. We estimate it was manufactured in March of 1962, and certainly before 1965. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We have disassembled and cleaned the inside of the magazine tube and replaced its spring. Admittedly, this isn’t a Model 12 Winchester, but it’s one of the Model 12’s competitors from the period, and very attractive in its own right. We’re offering this very nice Western Auto Savage for only $ 339.00. C&R Eligible.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
