The 1863 Zouave Rifle was produced between 1862 and 1865 by Springfield. Were made a total of 12.500 rifles. The Zouave is a favorite of re-enactors and has been recognized by experts as one of the best-made long arms of the Civil War Era. This musket features a blued barrel and color-casehardened lock marked "US" with an eagle. The trigger guard, barrel bands and patch boxes are finished in highly polished brass.
