All this genuine Safariland Holster lacks are its factory package, Allen wrench, and papers to make it mint condition. It is made for Smith & Wesson metal frame 5900 and 4000 Type Autos, including the 5906 and 4006. The Safariland Elk-suede lining shows little buffing. Our editor is 10 years behind on Safariland terminology, but we used to call these SS-II Security Duty Holsters. It’s made of highest quality Safari-laminate, and it is for a left-handed shooter or officer. The adjustable tension and placement of the thumb break snap makes it difficult for an officer to be disarmed during a conflict, but he or she need not be specially trained to the level required for the SS-III holsters. This one sells new for well over $100.00, but we’re offering it for only $49.95
