This is a 2 ½ inch Stainless Python with KT92xx serial number. We estimate it was manufactured in 1994 or 1995, and welcome comment on that subject from competent parties. This pistol is in Excellent Condition, and comes with its original CI-G Factory Colt Pachmayrs with gold toned logo. Its only surface detractions consist in moderate holster buffing to the matte area atop the frame and barrel, and we estimate that 25 percent of the matte surface is affected. We detect tiny areas of edge scouring along the sharp edges of the upper frame – sight area. There is one tiny scratch on the front of the frame and yoke; one tiny peck above where the trigger guard joins the frame; another on the right lower edge above the trigger; and another couple on the right side of the frame. Matte area around the muzzle and lug crown has one buffing streak at 6 o’clock on the lug face. Cylinder surface has two or three tiny superficial pecks. The right rear edge of the frame has light edge-only scuffing. None of these are conspicuous, and are only visible under very close inspection. Cylinder rotation marking is very light. We rate this revolver at 90 percent or better, Excellent; photos, however, should allow interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This Python is Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame topstrap directly above the forcing cone is negligible; only a tiny short stroke on the left side that traverses less than 20 percent of the frame width. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a perfect .006 with the hammer cocked. Double action trigger pull is characteristically Python silky smooth, with correct timing at the break on all six positions, even on a veeerrryy slloooww trigger pull. Single action trigger pull is a very crisp 3 ¾ pounds. This fine revolver comes to us from the estate of a very discriminating handgun collector and auxiliary Deputy Sheriff from Madison County, Tennessee.
