Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: This ad is for the pictured 1903 38 Caliber Colt Lightning Model 1877 Revolver. The barrel length is 6 inches. The bore is bright with a little light pitting. The action needs work. As is the case with a lot of these smaller colts the action has problems. This one will not rotate the cylinder and the hammer will not cock. Most likely this is a sear or spring problem. The mainspring and trigger spring are both strong. The metal under the grips has not been modified in any way and a set of original grips will go right on. As you can see in the pictures the left side of this gun is in quite nice condition but the right side has a fair amount of pitting. There are traces of the original blue and just a wee bit of the original case colors in protected areas. The grips are an obvious replacement but they are tight and fit well. The gun has a good aged appearance and as you know the longer barrels with ejectors are harder to find. This is a modern gun under the law and will require an FFL to be shipped.
