My father had this piece as long as I can remember. It is an origional cap lock. I have been told it is refered to as a stump gun because it is very heavy and made for target shooting. It has an octogon barrel and is decorated with many silver and brass inlays. I don't know exactly when it was made but it has D. Newburn Warrant engraved on the top of the barrell. The stock was broken at one point but I repaired it by inserting a 1/2" steel pin and glueing it with expensive epoxy. If you don't look close you can't tell it was reraired. I have fired this piece and it is very accurate. More pics available apon request'
