Description: hiduminum (aircraft alloy) frame, anodized in velvet grey, approx. 6 3/4 lbs. Approx. 67,000 (all variations) mfg. 1. Marked ** which I believe means modified choak. I am not real familiar with the gun so here are some excerpts from a forum site: "Bird hunters LOVE 'em based on the light weight" - "can remember drooling over that gun in a browing catalog that showed it in color, glossy photos. I was in school in the 60's and the price was way out of my reach" - "I had a friend in the sixties, whose mother hunted with one, and yes it was a work of art. I believe that it was the first Browning auto that wasn't in the general configuration of the Auto-5." - "The barrel recoils back like the A-5 pushing the bolt back. However, there is very little felt recoil or barrel jump. We shot some reloaded scrubs (mangled shells) through it and it handled every shell put in it" - "The beauty of the design is absence of any pins or screws through the receiver - very cool. Takedown is easy once you get the hang of it." - "Great guns! I've owned a half dozen of them over the years, and have one still. They were billed as the fastest re-loading auto of the time. The recoil is light enough that you can let a 12 yr. boy use it for trap shooting, and my sons did very well, shooting 22-23 out 25 at post." - "You won't find a better gun for upland gamebirds. A 2 3/4" shell may be light for ducks and geese, but is perfect for grouse and pheasant. If you don't like the 2 shot thing try holding 2 more between your fingers. They load real fast." A few handling marks but overall in very good condition. Bore is excellent as is the action. Mfg between 1955-57 so C&R or FFL required. Shipping and insurance paid by buyer is $35.00. USPS OR BANK OF AMERICA MONEY ORDERS ONLY. Please don’t bid if illegal in your state. Return if I have misrepresented anything. More pictures upon request.
