Here is a supremely desireable set of Herrett’s Combat grips for fit any Smith & Wesson K or L Frame Revolver with a square butt grip frame. If any of our shoppers are unclear on the difference between round butt and square butt, please see the attached photo. Square butt models included are 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 64, 65, 66, 581, 586, 681, and 686. We know of no Air Lite revolvers produced with square butt grip frame. These came to us from one of our favorite Knox County school teachers on a 1981 Smith & Wesson model 681 Revolver. We believe that the marking inside each panel is Mr. Steve Herrett’s hand scripted initials, but we stand to be corrected (by competent parties only, please) on that. Construction is very dark hardwood, probably mahogany. Style is symmetrical finger groove combat, late 1970s style that will accommodate speedloaders. We estimate these were manufactured in the mid to late 1970s, and they are period appropriate for any K or L Square revolver from that period. Surface detractions are minimal, some loss to the gloss on the right panel’s back strap area and inside the finger grooves. We rate them as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Note the very distinctive backstap inlet on these grips.
