HG5690 This Sig Arms 9mm Pistol’s Date Code is K B, manufactured in 1991. It has been completely refinished by our Utah friends at Black Ice Coatings to a Teflon-based matte black coating that is more durable than anything that Sig Arms has ever come up with, including stainless. Condition is As New / Refinished. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent, and we estimate this pistol has been fired 1500 rounds by our estimate. Only the right grip panel shows faint amounts of wear. As far as specs on the 226, classification is what S&W calls traditional double action, double action from the decocked position on the first shot, then single action on subsequent shots during the firing session. The Sig 226, of course, does not have a manually operated safety. It has a decocker lever to put the car in park. Sig has a firing pin block safety that prevents accidental discharge if the pistol is dropped, yet even with that, Sigs have the best single action trigger pull of all from the factory. This specimen gauges as a crisp 4 pounds with no felt creep. Caliber, of course, is standard 9mm. Weight empty is 34 ounces; finish is black; barrel length is 4.40 inches; and it has the conventional white bar rear and white dot front sights. These pistols are always point of aim from the factory. Sometimes operator adjustment is necessary, but rarely sight adjustment. This pistol is eminently serviceable and attractive. We are including a hard plastic carrying case, instruction manual and California Compliant Blue Sig cable lock. This pistol comes with a black ice coated original pre-ban 15 round factory magazine and a brand new Mec-Gar 18 rounder. Replacement price on the 226 is over $900 in our area, if a person can even find one.
