Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: This is a rare Marlin 1889 chambered in 38-40 caliber for sale with extremely rare combined features. The barrel is 24 inches long and it is half round half octagonal. There is deluxe wood on both pieces and they are checkered featuring a "W" design. Also, the wood does have many surface scratches and dings, and there is one check missing near to the bottom of the butt plate. The tang rear sight was produced by Lyman and the front sight is made by Marble. When the rear sight is removed there is no engraving underneath. The receiver had No 1 engraving with the picture of a deer on the left side. The receiver and fore end cap are both silver plated. The bluing is fair to good with most of the bluing present, but there are many scratches. The bore is excellent and the action is smooth. Finally this has the short magazine which Marlin only produced 207 rifles with this feature. Please ask for more pictures if needed.
