LG2607 This Marlin 25-M .22 Magnum rifle is one of the last ones of its line whose safety lever is, as our grandmother said, bass-ackwards. Safe position is forward, and reverse position is fire. That is the way it was on the sturdy, accurate little Marlin bolt actions until about 1986. This one’s 15 serial number prefix dates it to President Reagan’s Second Inaugural Year of 1985. Barrel is 22 inch 1:16 Micro-Groove. Removable magazine capacity is 7 rounds, 7+1 total capacity. This little specimen comes to us from the collection of our favorite Benton County Tennessean, and its stock has a nice 1970s style blond oil finish. Length of pull is original 13 1/2 inches, but the buttplate is about 1/16 oversized all the way around from refinishing. Surface detractions only amount to edge whitening on the blue steel surfaces and anodized finish trigger guard. Trigger itself is traditional serrated face, set on a nice crisp 2 7/8 pounds with no felt creep. Weight empty is 5 pounds 13 ounces, with center of gravity at the magazine. Sights are original blue steel step elevator rear and screw-on anodized ramp and blade front sight; and the receiver is 3/8 inch grooved for easy scope mounting. These are legal, and immensely popular in the north section of Tennessippi where we live for quick and effective dispatch of the of the Canis Latrans, the coyote; and our Benton County Mississippians use them effectively for deer hunting as well. These are also prized for hog killing, both in the field and in the slaughterhouses here in Tennessippi. We rate this one as Very Good, stock refinished. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Replacement pricing on the 25MN descendants of this one is $300 apiece range in our area. We’re offering this very nice Reagan Era 25M, however, for only $ 229.95.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Long Guns: $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $50 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
