GUN OR OTHER TRADES POSSIBLE. This is an MG-08/15 Spandau, THE BEST VALUE IN A WATER COOLED BELT FED, made in 1915. It is in very good condition, and fires 8mm Mauser. It is NOT a side plate gun. This is on a Form 4 in Ohio and will transfer on a $200 tax stamp. This is a rare historical weapon - just look around the Class 3 web sites. While there are a lot of inexpensive accessories available for the MG-08/15, the guns themselves are very few and far between. Original ones like this were brought back to America as trophies following WWI. It is an excellent investment, and will way, way out pace any form of bank, IRA, or stock investment. Machine guns have out performed virtually every other form of investment in the last 10 years or more. By next year this gun will likely be worth $12,000; in five years it'll likely be worth $15,000. Original German weapons of war are very, very scarce, and highly prized. TRADES AND OFFERS ARE POSSIBLE ON THIS ITEM, AND NEED NOT BE CLASS 3 ITEMS. It should be borne in mind that a Maxim such as this is an actual original machinegun, and also a Curio & Relic, and has historical signifigance, whereas no tube, sideplate, sear or conversion weapon has these aspects. Regardless of where gun laws may go in the future, an original historical weapon, particularly from a World War, will always have interest, cache, relevance, and value that Class II made weapons will not likely have.
