Was originally built as a .243 Catbird by SY&G rifles (renamed to Speedco a few years ago), down in Texas. This gun was originally built around 1999 or so. The reason I know this? That stock! The barrelled action was shipped to me and this was the first stock I ever inletted and bedding for a bench gun. Looks just like it did when it left my shop except for the a few scratches and it evidently has been rebarreled at some point. Just had to email. Thought I would never see that stock again.
