For owners of the venerable Mossberg Bolt Action Shotguns, here is the last man standing as far as replacement magazines. Manufacturer is Triple K Manufacturing of San Diego, California. Construction is entirely blue steel with welded assembly plates; blue steel floorplates and followers. These magazines are, as the factory writes, bench tested and with perfect feed springs. Capacity is 2 rounds or shells, 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch interchangeably. Dimensions are length 3.040 inches not including the guide channel; .962 inch thickness; 2.395 height measured at the back from floorplate to shell brass guides. They will fit Mossberg Models 395, 495, and 595 that are chambered for 3 inch shells, manufacture years from 1963 until 1983. Western Auto models 170, 172, 173, 312, 312AK, 312SB; and Wards Western Field Model M170 are, according to Fjiestad’s references, identical models to the Mossberg 395 series.
