Here is the round that served soldiers, police officers, and homeowners very, very well for almost a century from the invention of the .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber until the high performance ammo craze of the 1980s and ever since. Despite all that hype, the 158 grain Lead Round Nose .38 Special non+P cartridge is alive and well, and in service throughout the world, not just in target ranges, either. For revolvers like the 1949 Pre-Model-15 Alameda County Sheriff’s wheel gun in the photo, or even for Smith & Wesson Air Lites, it is a formidable round that has earned its respect. Manufactured by our neighbors in Lonoke, Arkansas, this is Remington’s UMC / Union Metallic Cartridge division’s standard service and target load that develops 755 feet per second muzzle velocity from a 4 inch revolver, and delivers a 200 foot-pound muzzle energy payload that nobody’s .380 can match. Components are lead alloy 158 grain Round Nose bullets, Du Pont IMR powder, Remington Primers, and Remington factory brass cases that are repeatedly reloadable. This ammunition is, believe it or not, a little bit hard to find in our area. We’re offering this Remington L38S5 ammunition, however, by the box of 50 rounds, each for only $ 16.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
