ARMSCOR 1911 CS (Compact Size) PISTOL: Rock Island Armory now introduces the new Model CS 1911-A1 pistol in Caliber.45 ACP. It is the compact version of the original full size Rock Island Armory Government Model 1911-A1 and is considered as an optimum choice for concealable personal defense weapon. The CS Pistol has an overall length of 7-1/8” or 1 ½ “ shorter than the full size Government Model and ½ “ shorter than the medium size (MS) version. Its loaded weight is approximately 16 oz lighter than the full size model. The gun utilizes a 3 ½” tapered bull barrel precluding the use of a barrel bushing. Use of a reverse plug and a full length recoil spring guide which acts as a stabilizer ensures functional reliability and dampen felt recoil while at the same time making the manual cycling operation of the slide easy and smooth. The magazine capacity is 6 rounds but can also accommodate the full size 7 or 8 round magazine. The CS pistol utilizes the same features as with the parent full size model including the lowered and flared ejection port, extended ejector and beveled magazine well.
