A very sweet COLT DIAMONDBACK in .38 Special has just come in to the shop. This beauty is a 4" model in rare NICKEL plating, with true IVORY GRIPS, in excellent- plus condition.
The gun has been enjoyed by the previous owner - used lightly, but not often. We do see some slight marks from firing and handling: Cylinder face shows the usual scorch rings which should be polished out, and there are telltale firing marks on the topstrap which fan out from the forcing cone underneath. Nothing out of the ordinary, but more visible on a nickel gun than a blued one. There are a few small slight marks from handling near the trigger guard and below the cylinder.
Cosmetics easily 95%. Mechanically the gun is fine: tight cylinder; smooth trigger and hammer fall.
This Diamondback sports very nicely polished smooth IVORY GRIPS in superb condition, which fit perfectly. (see pix)
An excellent collectible and a very nice shooter for those days when you gotta have a "fancy" gun to carry and show off. Serial number in the D558xxx-range.
