Description: $50 CONSUMER REBATE NOW THRU OCTOBER 31! SEE PHOTO! Here is the State-of-the-Art, Fourteenth Engineering Change variant of the Chief's Special Stainless that was originally introduced in 1965. This one has, as the photos show, Smith & Wesson's internal lock. Barrel length is 2 1/8 inch full lug, up from the original old 1 7/8 inch. Weight empty is 22.5 oz, up from the original 19 oz for the older .38 Special variants, a change that came about in 1996 with the introduction of the J Magnum frame. The Model 60 classifies as a traditional double action revolver; that is, it can fire simply by a long trigger pull in double action from a resting position hammer, or by cocking the hammer and firing single action. All Smith & Wesson revolvers, of course, have internal transfer bar safeties that prevent the hammer from moving the firing pin forward except when the trigger is pulled all the way. The 60-14 has MIM, Metal-injected-molded trigger and hammer. It operates with a floating firing pin instead of the older hammer nose type firing pin. Specimen is the photo is a stock revolver we had in early 2009. Replacement price on these is a bit more than they were in 1980 and 1981. Back then, the .38 Specials sold for $500 - $600 apiece new. We're offering this new Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum, S&W Product Code #162420, the one in the photo or one of its identical mates, for only $ 569.95 2% Discount = Freight Paid if paid by USPS Money Order & No Credit Card. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
