Of perhaps 10,000 SKS Rifles that we personally sold between 1987 and 1995, we had fewer than a dozen of the Norincos with Armco, Massachusetts importer stamping. This one's serial number prefix is 89, and that likely indicates the year of its manufacture. Surface wear is only moderate; much of the scouring on the glossy finished stock was probably original to the rifle when it entered the U.S. Market in the late 1980s. Bayonet and sling are also original. Surface detractions are only moderate. Bluing is strong throughout on the metal, but there is about 15 percent spotty residue here and there, and the bolt surface is somewhat darkened. We rate this Armco Norinco as Very Good finishwise, but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, gas cylinder, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We're offering this very nice SKS for only $ 389.95 Not shipped with bayonet to restricted areas.
