Starr US Model 1816 Percussion conversion from flint Musket 69 cal Smoothbore, Mech VG plus, Wood VG plus with 2 cartouche inspector markings. Has a 42” Rd barrel with bayonet lug at the muzzle and marked in the breech area with a faint date, a V and a couple deep proof markings. The lockplate has a 1839 date and marked Midd Tn Conn to the rear of the hammer and ahead of the hammer is US N. Starr and a sun burst marking. The buttplate is US marked. Has orig. 3 flat barrel bands. Orig. ramrod and sling swivels. Has a Belgian conversion with nipple in the barrel.
