There are no scratches or dings in the metal, just honest wear. The bore is bright and the muzzle crown free of abrasion. The heel of the left grip panel shows slight wear, probably from rubbing on the holster, otherwise the grips are in fine condition-free of cracks or chipping. The pistol features a 'crossed-cannon' ordinance marking on the right rear of the upper portion of the receiver, the serial number is below the marking 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY' and the right side of the dust cover displays the roll-mark 'M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY' and the crossed cannon cartouche at the right rear of the frame. The barrel lug has the appropriate 'P' on the L/H side and and 'F' on the right. See photos. This is a fine unaltered specimen of WWII 1911A1 production.
