The set consists of a soule-style rear sight with three eyecup apertures, two 10-32 mounting screws, spirit level front sight with 8 interchangeable inserts and owner’s manual. Eyecup aperture (hole) sizes are 0.052”, 0.064” and 0.073”. The rear sight base is drilled to fit the 2.180” hole spacing for a Miroku Browning or Winchester 1885 High Wall BPCR, but different bases are available from AMT to fit various other rifle tangs. The front sight male dovetail base is 0.378” wide to fit a standard 3/8" dovetail. The rear sight staff windage scale is marked off in index mark increments of 5 MOA with a maximum range of approximately 35 MOA. The windage knob features large and small index marks, resulting in 1/4 MOA adjustment between marks. In other words, the windage knob must be rotated through 20 index marks to move the staff 1 index mark. Rotating the windage adjustment knob clockwise moves the sight staff to the left, moving the point of bullet impact to the left. The rear sight staff features two scales: the staff main scale and the eyecup aperture elevator “vernier” scale. Working together, both allow for very precise adjustments of vertical bullet impact. The main scale is indexed in increments of 5 MOA with a maximum range of 250 MOA. The vernier scale ratio is 5:1, “magnifying” the resolution of the main scale by a factor of 5, resulting in an overall adjustment resolution of 1 MOA.
