Here is a very nice, thoroughly traditional, early Siegler era Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum Stainless, numbered Model 629-1. Its ADF serial number dates it to October or November of 1983. Pachmayr SN-G Grips date from the period. This 629 has .400 smooth Combat Trigger and .500 serrated Target Hammer, both of them in Satin Stainless. Frame is N, Square Butt Grip Frame. Finish has been lightly polished, but the classic S&W streaked stainless is still in evidence throughout. Surface detractions are minimal; they only amount to faint small pecking here and there, mostly on the right side of the frame. We estimate that less than 10 percent of the finish is affected anywhere by contact scouring; so if the polishing is not an issue, this revolver will grade Excellent. Sights are original adjustable White Outline Rear and Red Ramp front. Weight empty is 47 3/4 ounces. This 629 is Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is minimal, only a faint shallow impress that traverses a bit over half the width of the top strap. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels a full 10 to 15 degrees after the cylinder times in all six positions on double action. On single action, the hammer travels full 25 degrees after timing on all six, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp 3 3/4 pounds. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal, no more than 1mm total with the trigger relaxed and less than that with the trigger fully depressed. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Cylinder fact to forcing cone gap is a tight .005. We removed small amounts of lead from the cylinder, so with the faintness of the blast evidence and our conversations with its Colorado owner, we estimate this revolver has been fired fewer than 100 rounds with full house factory magnums, and fewer than 500 rounds total, mostly with .44 Special loads. We are including a new production Smith & Wesson blue case. We're offering this very nice 629-1 six inch for only $ 729.95 Not transferable to civilians in California, Chicago, D.C., Massachusetts, or NYC.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
