Special Model 94 issued to commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the founding of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1866. Gold filled etching on the receiver. Left side depicts the famous Winchester horse and rider. Right side depicts a bust of Oliver F. Winchester. Barrel has "Winchester" name etched and gold filled. All metal parts are blued except the front sight blade which is gold plated. Finish is semi-gloss, stock and extended forearm are checkered. 20" round barrel. This gun comes with the original box and some paperwork. I believe this rifle was originally manufactured as the Winchester Rifle, which was paired with a Colt SAA in .44-40 for the Winchester-Colt Commemorative Set, because the Winchester Rifle Serial # includes "WC" and there is "no" Medallion on the left side of the receiver. Winchester factory installed the large loop lever and sold the gun, as such. Questions are welcome.
