Construction is entirely stainless steel, only with black anodized, bifocal friendly green fiber optic dot, windage and elevation adjustable rear sights, and matching screw-on ramp front sight. Barrel is 6 1/2 inch, 1:14 twist. Grips are factory Ruger laminate wood. Type is Single Action Only Revolver with transfer bar safety mechanism. Hammer is .290 serrated spur stainless, with .300 smooth faced trigger. Capacity is 9 rounds of .22 Winchester Magnum ammunition. Weight empty is 39 ounces, with center of gravity at the front trigger guard junction. Each Single Nine comes in its factory box with all its papers, massive Ruger padlock, and fired brass envelope. Photo specimen’s trigger gauged at 4 1/2 pounds with minimal felt creep.
