The Sling is fairly worn but still a great collector’s item all on its own. BYF 43 indicates 1943 manufacture at the famous Mauser AG Oberndorf factory deep in war-torn Germany. This 98K Mauser rifle is still in 8x57 (8mm mauser) caliber has all the standard markings and is all matching serial numbered including the floor plate and bolt parts. NO IMPORT MARKS!!
