Description: A reproduction of the famous Starr Arms Model of 1858 44 caliber Double Action Revolver. This screams quality that is far beyond perhaps even the originals produced by Starr Arms themselves….and at a fraction of the price of an original! Once you examine the quality and see the pistol in person, you’ll know why. This pistol, which has been fired by me, is in like new condition. It’s a faithful reproduction of the famous Double Action Starr Revolver which saw use during the American Civil War.

Beautiful blue finish, 44 caliber. This is one of the first fully functional and certainly ahead of it’s time double action firearms. There is a sliding “switch” located behind the main trigger, which when pressed fully upwards allows the trigger to be pulled all the way back, rotating the cylinder, then engaging the second trigger and dropping the hammer firing the pistol in rapid fire double action mode. Pressing the “switch” on the forward trigger into its down position allows the pistol to be operated by pulling the trigger rearward, which rotates the cylinder, aligns the chamber with the hammer, leaving the hammer in the full cocked position. Then one moves the trigger finger behind the main trigger and presses the second trigger allowing slow and careful aiming before firing the pistol. As I say, definitely ahead of it’s time.

Made by one of the worlds foremost manufacturers of modern black powder pistols. The workmanship is impeccable.

Beautiful solid one piece walnut grips. An original cost well over a thousand dollars. Here’s one actually made better than the original. NSSA approved.

Included with the pistol is its original box, instruction manual, A photo copied history of the Starr Arms Co., a March 1984 Civil War Times Illustrated magazine with a 4 page article detailing the Starr Arms Company of Yonkers New York complete with patent drawings and interesting facts about the company and it's principal Eban Starr, and a spare mainspring.

I’ve included lots of photos for you to examine…pistol is nicer than the photos show.

Reasonable offers considered.

This is a super nice pistol, an excellent addition to any collection, and a great opportunity to acquire history you can hold in your hands, and a fun shooter to boot! Thanks for looking!
