Up for sale is a nice (75% overall condition) used Union Switch & Signal model of 1911A1 semi-auto pistol in 45 ACP cal. The pistol is marked "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the frame and "U.S. & S. CO." over "SWISSVILLE, PA. U.S.A." on the slide. The serial number (No.1090***) dates the pistol to 1943 production(one of approx 55,000 by this vendor). The pistol features its org. blue finish, correct checkered brown plastic grips, P proof marks on slide and frame, and RCD inspectors initials. The barrel appears to be a Springfield and the magazine is a replacement. The pistol comes with a Boyt42 marked GI leather holster. The pistol was sold to us as a WWII GI bring back by the previous owners father. J&G accepts Visa/MC via telephone (please contact us via email for for phone number) or MO/Cert.
