SS# 107xxx From a mid-west estate sale WWII German Officer's FN Browing patent Model 1922 Pistol and Holster 7.65mm cal. All visible numbers match. The wood grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and very little wear they appear to be original to the gun (I have not taken the grips off as I don't want to damage them therefore I don't know if the grips are numbered). The metal finish is original with normal amount of blue wear on the finish (see photos). I am not a collector or an expert and know very little about this type of gun (therefore I took photos of every mark or stamp I could find on the outside of the gun but don't know how to take it apart). At the sale the only other information about the collection was that it was a WWII bring back by a friend of the family and that it had been in the family for a long time. This pistol has a good bore and is in excellent working condition. Since I can't take the gun apart to see if every thing matches the only thing I can do is guarantee it. The brown leather holster appears to be correct, the leather is not brittle but there is a lot of wear and the strap that holds down the holster flap is missing (see photos). The newspaper is not a reprint and is dated March 27th 1944 and has articles and photos about the war. The collection includes two war time photos of German Soldiers. The German bill is dated 1937 and the two war time stamps are in good condition. The only fault I can find with this collection is that the hold down loop on the flap of the holster is missing (see photos). We trade guns. Satisfaction guaranteed.
