Thompson Contender Model Super 14 - 35 Remington came with an adjustable grooved trigger, equipped with sling and swing swivels. It does have a serial # 291295. The Thompson Contender was introduced in 1967. The Thompson Contender model Super 14 was introduced in 1978. We believe this one to be C. 1980. It is a single shot, breech loading pistol that has a 14” rifled barrel. It shoots 35 REM cartridges. It has a Thompson Center Arms RP 2.5 X 20 electro dot scope with a standard ramp front sight, and a standard Thompson scope mount. The bore is in excellent condition, bluing is 99% +. There are 4 superficial mars on the left side of the scope. There are a few superficial mars on the stock and forend, but nothing significant. No cracks or chips. It has the cushion pistol grip. Some markings are:
“Thompson Center Arms 35 REM Rochester, N.H. Super 14”, on barrel. There is a picture of a stalking cougar / mountain lion on both sides of the receiver. Overall condition is Excellent A++.
