Late Colt Police Positive Special Target - Serial Number 43144 (Mfg. 1938) - Factory blue finish. Very nice condition - fully functional. A nice antique leather holster manufactured by HH Heiser of Denver Co. that came with this weapon will be sold separately.

I was given this gun by my father many years ago. I believe the gun is factory original except for special grips which are either black leather or perhaps plastic. The grips have an unusual logo on them which makes be think they could have been more than a simple replacement grip and may ADD special value to the weapon? The logo is a shield with the letters P&S Co inside the logo. Please see picture of it. Additional Pictures upon request.

I am not experienced enough to say one way or another, but it has been described by a reputable gun dealer at 85 to 90%?
