Here is what Taurus says about this latest configuration of the now-classic PT-92; no brag, just fact: The fixed sight PT92 9mm pistol is based on the most extensively tested, duty proven, and widely used double action autoloading design in history.It has been refined and enhanced by Taurus to surpass the original. Most notable on the Taurus PT92 is the innovation of a three position frame mounted ambidextrous safety which allows this gun to be carried in classic double action - cocked and locked - mode, as well as functioning as a double action decocking lever. Other features include choice of blued or stainless finishes, loaded chamber indicator for added safety, and the Taurus security system. Factory specs are polished alloy grip frame with integral rail system and ten-groove serrations, stainless steel slide and parts; white dot rear sights, red dot front sight; checkered rubber grip panels; weight empty 34 ounces. This pistol comes furnished with two factory Taurus 16 round magazines, yielding 17 shot capacity. This pistol's Beretta parent in Inox Stainless commands prices upwards of $900 apiece. In our area, if a person can find one of these PT-92 stainless guns, they price out at upwards of $700 apiece.
