This is a first year production (1932) Model 61 (Serial #18xx) with octagon barrel, single caliber mark, rust blue, small fore arm, factory (Lyman) tang sight (value $250) and factory A-5 scope (valued near $1000 by itself)(serial numbers: 3512 over 2 on right rear). This rifle is in 95% plus condition, perfect bore and mechanically like new. It is not mint, showing some slight wear on edges and take down knob, etc. Stocks retain 99% of their original varnish, showing only shallow wear marks. But this is the finest early M61's I have seen (outside of New-in-the-Box) with as many special features. It even has a special order reversible bead Marbles front sight. The factory would add a small pad of oiled paper under the tang peep, so wood wouldn't be marked, and this is visible in the pictures. This is almost a one-of-a-kind Winchester in fine condition. We can take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 4% fee. We'll also consider trade for U.S. silver and gold coins at spot value.
