Kimber Model 84L .270 Win., 24-inch barrel with Match Grade chamber; Kevlar carbon fiber stock; full length Mauser type claw extractor; 3-position Model 70 type safety; adjustable trigger; near mint condition with box and papers. VISA/MC/DISCOVER/AMEX(add 4%), money orders, checks; $35shp.
At just 5 pounds, 10 ounces, the Kimber®
Model 84L Montana™ is the smallest and
lightest standard caliber hunting rifle available
today. Equally important, it is the first ultralightweight
that combines classic lines with
critical performance features like a Mauser claw
extractor for true controlled round feeding
and extraction. A carefully designed action
with minimal dimensions for the .30-06 Spfd.
family of cartridges makes it possible. Available
chamberings include .25-06 Rem., .270 Win.,
.280 Ackley Improved and .30-06 Spfd. All have
a 24-inch barrel for optimal velocity. With a
Kimber Model 84L™ there is no compromise
between weight and performance. No matter
the caliber, these rifles come alive in hand like
a fine shotgun. Each features a stainless steel
barreled action and Kevlar/carbon fiber stock.
Match grade barrels machined from the finest
steel and chambers cut to exacting match grade
dimensions are standard. The 3-position wing
safety is positive, silent and fast. Receivers are
drilled and tapped for Kimber scalloped base sets
(available separately). The Model 84L Montana is
literally in a class by itself.
