This is a good condition, November 1942 vintage WWII M1 Garand. For those seeking a true vintage rifle and not the typical H&R Korean War vintage rifles listed throughout this site.

My M1 has a serial number 989XXX which is pretty low. The throat and muzzle erosion are in good condition with no corrosion. The wood stocks are in pretty good condition with some typical minor dings as would be expected for a 70 year old weapon.

All of the marked parts appear to be Springfield parts, the exception being the barrel which is an H&R dated January 1952. There is also a Springfield cartouche on the wood stock.

The weapon includes an original rifle inspection tag signed off by a SSGT of the Marine Corp. See attached photo for more information.

My M1 will include a hard cover lockable carrying case and cardboard shipping box.
