Serial number range on this Smith & Wesson model 59 auto is A336000, and that dates it to the Bicentennial Year of 1976. This is a local civilian pistol that has spent its life in possession of only two retail owners in nearby Shelby County, Tennessee. Surface detractions are minimal, and only amount to whitening on the sharp edges of the frame extremities and levers and sights, with a faint amount of weakness in the slide bluing on both sides. We rate it as a strong Very Good finishwise, since we estimate that 85 percent or so of its finish is intact. We think it approaches Excellent Condition, but photos should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It comes with a set of Pachmayr Signature grips from the period, since they were made before Pachmayr began putting its logo on the grips. It comes with two stainless decade correct pre-ban 14 shot magazines with steel floorplates and black followers. Slide, barrel, and parts are blue steel; frame is gloss black anodized alloy. Note that the rear sight is classic Smith & Wesson Windage Adjustable Lollipop type. This 59 is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and Excellent. We are furnishing a new factory blue case with this 9mm; and we're offering it for only $ 389.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, Massachusetts, or New York City.
