Mec-Gar magazines are the only magazines as good as, or better than, original factory mags. They lock the slides open like they're supposed to on the last shot; they free-fall eject correctly; and most important, they are always reliable, even with months of staying loaded. Mec-Gar magazines are constructed of all steel springs, magazine bodies, and spring plates with high impact polymer followers and polymer or steel buttplates. The buttplates to these genuine Mec-Gar 17 round magazines for the Smith & Wesson 59 and 5900 series 9mm pistols are classic polymer, virtually identical to the factory S&W floorplates issued for the past 25 years.
