The blocks are made from heavy duty HDPE plastic (High-density polyethylene) The lower block is a multipurpose tool which allows you to safely work on your lower receiver in a vise. All blocks & parts are made in the USA… To start just insert the magazine block into the bottom of the mag well, or the top, for trigger work, or just general maintenance, the blocks are versatile and have multiple applications depending on the project at hand. The mag well block is designed with a step on each side; the step down design applies no pressure to the mag release when locked in place. The design places the load to the full length of the chamfer inside the bottom of the mag well not just a small portion of the outside and or bottom of the mag well, as similar blocks on the market do. Other lower blocks do not have a load bearing design at all thus applying the full weight & load to the mag release… As for the upper block set, separate the upper from the lower receiver, insert the additional protective foam strips on the rail cap (strip has adhesive backing) to the top the rail block, and attach the secondary upper block to the bottom of your upper receiver and attach the clevis pins into the take down pin slots, insert into a vice and your ready to go. What you will need… a vise that opens at least 3.75" to mount your receiver horizontally. This block can be mounted in the vise vertically for light work, such as cleaning, maintenance, scope and hand guard work. Or mount it horizontally, using the included rail cap to protect your top rail, for high torque work. The rail cap has an oversized square cut groove and comes with 3 foam strips for added protection. Includes two clevis pins with two hairpin clips and 3 foam strips. Parts sold separately as well.
