Made of welded steel construction, it is extremely rigid and stable... and built for a lifetime of use. This machine will carve objects up to 8 inches in diameter, and any length desired. Ball bearing guides move effortlessly on precision ground steel shafts in 3 Dimensions while a router fitted with a carbide bit does the cutting. A nylon tipped guide pin follows the contour of the original with surprising ease. A wonderful substitute for fine hand craftsmanship, this duplicator will allow you to cut a stock from a blank block of wood that needs only a final sanding to be finished. The duplicator will make cutouts for the trigger mechanism and barrel with ease, identical to the original. Accuracy within .005 inch can be achieved. Simply a great tool for the hands-on person who wants to do his own work. The turning mechanism allows for the rotation of the gun stocks a full 360 degrees, in unison, then they can be locked solidly in position for carving with the twist of a knob. Setup is accomplished in a matter of minutes on your own table... Can be as simple as a piece of plywood. All that the buyer needs is a specific router chosen from 2 types (purchased locally or online from $99 to $125). A Rifle Stock can be carved in less than an hour. A selection of carbide bits come with the machine, each one with a matching guide pin. The duplicator is very easy to operate and very forgiving... you just can't make mistakes.
