This is # 294 of only 500 ever made, by America Remembers around 1999, & the plaque inside the walnut & glass case, says-The VFW 100th Anniversary Tribute. A 20th Century Salute to the Military also has name of original owner can be changed very easy. Nice burgundy velour lining & it’s a perfectly fitted Walnut case with lock & key. I tried to capture the fine engraving on Bothe sides of the gold plated slide, one side says we'd do anything for our country-& has fighting scenes, choppers, soldiers with guns, & POW MIA, on the rear of the slide,& top of slide also has all sorts of engraving & printing-more photos on request. Serial # of this special Colt 45 ACP 1911 is 2793720 and totally brand new & unfired, but no outer box or papers. Another Beautiful Firearm!!!
