Slightly used Springfield U.S. Model 1864 Type I single shot .58 caliber percussion rifle. Wood stock extends almost entire length of barrel, three barrel bands, 40" barrel, double leaf rear sight graduated to 500 yards, Lockplate is marked with "U.S. Springfield" along with an Eagle with shield in multiple locations and "1864" marked behind the hammer, top of buttplate marked "US", 3 groove rifling is in great condition, comes as seen in pics. There is a lot of normal wear on the stock and barrel, as they do not appear to have been refinished. Some pitting and rust spots appear on barrel and stock is scratched and dented. Everything appears as original to the best of our knowledge. Great buy at $1499. Price listed is cash price (additional 3% for CC). Buyer pays NO SHIPPING for lower 48 states.
