The rifle has early matching numbers ( 28246 ). Nagoya No Series type 99. This is an original cavalry rifle that has the oval shaped swivel. Refer to Honeycutt Military Rifles of Japan, 2nd Edition , Pg. 92. Has chrome lined barrel in great clean condition. Barrel length is approx. 25 3/4" and overall length is approx 44 1/4". Action is good. Wood is in good condition with only superficial dings that would be expected. Steel butt plate and bayonet lug. There is no cleaning rod.
