The Ruger New Model Single-Six is a .22-caliber revolver with styling inspired by the historic guns of the Old West. The Ruger Single-Six looks like a downsized copy of the popular Ruger Blackhawk revolver. Both guns are late twentieth century interpretations of the classic .45 Colt Army Revolver. The New Model Single-Six is primarily intended for casual target shooting and plinking. The Convertible Model Single-Six comes with two cylinders: Both fluted and one, for .22 Long Rifle ammunition and can also fire .22 Short and .22 Long cartridges and the other, for the more potent .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR) cartridge. While this small-caliber rimfire pistol is not really appropriate for self-defense, it is exceptionally appropriate for just plain fun.
