From years of storage in an old Southern Warehouse come these top quality Jay Scott Imitation Pearl Grips to fit Ruger Super Blackhawk Revolvers with Long Grip frame and square back Dragoon Type Trigger Guard. Manufacturer was Jay Scott Grip Armarc® Grip Company. Exclusive national distributor was Colt Firearms of Elmwood Park, NJ, and packaging is so marked. From our poor memory, these were manufactured in the mid to late 1970s. Construction is durable laminate wood backing with ivory colored polymer facing. Screw is chrome plated steel, secured with brass escutcheons. Packaging shows age and wear, but the grips are just fine. They will only fit a Ruger Super Blackhawk Revolver chambered in .44 Magnum caliber that has the first generation style long steel grip frame and square backed Dragoon style trigger guard. They will not fit a Super Blackhawk that has a short Blackhawk style grip frame with a round trigger guard. They will not fit a Blackhawk. They will not fit a Single Six. They will not fit the door lever of a 1937 Dodge Blue Bird School Bus. They will only fit Ruger Super Blackhawk Revolvers with grip frames and trigger guards like the ones showing in our photos. These are period correct for any Super Blackhawk manufactured between 1956 and 1990. Due to their Colt Firearms package marking, these grips are collectable in their own right, even if a person doesn’t own a Ruger. Replacement pricing on similar grips from other manufacturers ranges upwards of $80 a set.
