Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 in 257 Roberts. Serial # 409xxx (1957 Vintage). This is a Factory Custom Shop Creation. A Sightless (no provision for a front or rear sight, just drilled for a scope and mounts). This is NOT a Gopher Special from Gopher Shooting Supply in Minnisota. None of those had a rear sight boss and were traditionally Featherweights. If you look in Rule's "The Rifleman's Rifle", you will see a section on these guns. This gun has been fired and is nearly Mint. Metal retains all of 99% Original Blue with the wood retaining 98% Original Varnish with very minor handling marks. The most noticeable is the area just ahead of the floor-plate pictured in the last photo. Mint Bore, Lots of Condition and Very Desireable. FFL or C&R Required. Thanks for Looking.
