While we personally like Taurus's own stippled texture rubber grips that they ship out on their Model 85s, 850 CIA, 94, and all their small counterparts to the Smith & Wesson J frame revolvers, sometimes the factory grips are a bit too large. That's why we're glad we ran up on a closeout on these Vintage Grip Company brand boot grips to fit the little Tauruses. While the reduction in butt length is only modest, the reduction in backstap and thickness is quite substantial with these over the original factory grips. Photo shows a pair on one of our Taurus 85 Ultra-Lites, before – with the original grips; and after – with these. They cut down on the grip size quite a bit, but on the downside, they increase felt recoil with +P loads.
