Rare Winchester model 54 short rifle with 20 inch factory nickel steel barrel (not a carbine) in 30govt06 topped off with a beautiful vintage Lyman Alaskan 2.5 scope, post & crosshair reticule and a rare King-Pike Quick Detachable mount. The bore is mint, sharp and shiny, rear sight has second folding leaf. Blueing on barrel and receiver is 90%+, floorplate 65%. "A" Serial number, 239xxA Stock is excellent, no cracks or chips, what appears to be a scrape behind the left grip is actually a small burl in the wood, Winchester period eyes for sling hooks. Buttplate is serrated style. The Lyman Alaskan All Weather scope is in super condition, optics are crystal clear, sharp post & crosshair. No dents, 98% blue. The King-Pike QD mounts are in excellent condition and the scope can be removed in just seconds.
