The rifle that you are considering is a fuly custom Remington 700. It is a long action with a 24 inch #8 douglas heavy barrel with what I think is a 1-10 twist and a 0.847 diameter muzzle. The action is titanium devcon bedded into a molded in desert camo McMillan A5 stock. No this is not a stripped out A5 but it is a full deal complete with flush cups, adjustable cheek and adjustable length of pull. I believe that the bottom metal is Badger M4. Yes, it is the steel trigger guard. The follower is the milled type not the cheap stamped one. The scope rail is a Badger Ordnance rail. The trigger is set to a safe 4 pounds and is of the older type that can be adjusted. The finish is a duracoat tan to match the stock. The rilfe is chambered in 8mm Mauser and since it is a military round it is easier to get ammo for it. If you are local and pick this up then I do have some on hand but I will not ship ammunition. The original owner had this built by a custom builder out of Arizona called Viking Precision Tactical Firearms. He said that it took 18 months to get it and he had not fired it as he was waiting on a scope that he never got. He further went on to say that The action had been blueprinted and trued? I tried getting ahold of Viking, however, I have been unsuccessful. The auction is for the rifle with scope base. I do have a brand new Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25x50mm M5 ERT Front Focal with TMR reticle set in a set of Badger High MAX-50 rings that can be included for an additional $1800. The list on the scope is $2375 and the rings are around $250 from Badger so you would be saving $825 if you purchased the scope with the rifle. No, I will not sell the scope or any parts off of this rifle seperately. The scope and rings are available to the buyer of the rifle only. In case you want to check the scope with Leupold then the scope serial is 407817V. The only trades that I am looking for is a McMillan Tac-50. Here is a link to the Leupold site that has the scope listed: Ok, now we come to the good part. I perfer cashiers check or money order and do not accept personal checks. I also do accpt credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) but these do carry a 3% charge on the total amount charged. I am a licensed FFL dealer and must ship to another licensed FFL dealer or your choice to handle the 4473 paperwork. Yes, I do jump through the California hoops and will ship there. If picking up localy then I can handle your paperwork at no charge. So let us recap. The auction is for the rifle with scope base and the buyer has the option to purchase the scope. I only have one trade consideration as described above. The rifle comes as shown in the photos with nothing more and nothing less and again the scope with rings is an option for the buyer of this rifle. If you have any questions then please feel free to ask prior to bidding or purchasing. One last thing, the custom builders do usually have at least a 6 month wait on custom firearms with most being 12-18 months so consider this when considering the rifle I have listed.
