Straight stock, round nose fore end, Lyman Peep sight, ramp blade sight, steel shotgun style butt plate. Stock and fore end are 'fruitwood'(sweet gum), in 85% condition, some dark spots from saddle scabbard wear. Receiver, exterior barrel, 85/90%, interior barrel, bolt and lever are 95%. The wood was this color when I received the gun in 1960. This is not an unusual color for the early 30/30s but I can't say whether it was refinished or not between 1920 and 1960.I have kept the stock and forend oiled since 1960. It is better shape than 70% of the 99s I have seen for sale........ No more than 250 rounds ever fired through this gun. Action is tight, rifling excellent, very accurate. Two owners in 95 years , Grandpa and Me. Unusual configuration, very good condition and very shootable/collectible. Serial Number 265764. Make an offer.
