This 69 caliber muzzleloader has been shot no more than 20 times, killed one white tale deer with it. I used american pioneer powder exclusively. The Green Mountian barrel has a 1 in 66 twist. It is 35" long and 1.25" across the flats. This barrel has not been made for over 20 years. The bore is perfect. It shoots a 475g patched round ball with a maximum load 300g FF black powder or equivelent volume American Pioneer. If you load the 300g of FF black powder you must use a wad between the patched ball and the powder. The miniball it shoots is 730g and it's maximm load is 200g FF black powder or equvilent volume of American Pioneer. The rifle is metalifed, it will never rust. It has flip up express sights front and rear. The furnature is german silver. inlays are acorns. Extra large heavy cap lock with a musket cap. The stock is beautiful myrtlewood, custom made. It has sling studs and the steel crosshatched but plate has been metalifed. This rifle is basically a black powder elephant gun or a hand held canon. It is necessary to use shooting sticks. It is a total of 52" long and weighs almost 14 lbs and it needs this weight because of the recoil. Should have gunbarer. Absolutely gorgeous, has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
